Accessibility

Access Keys

Access keys have been implemented to aid accessibility. They help with getting around the website more easily especially without the use of a mouse.

  • 0=takes you to skip navigation.
  • 1=takes you to the beginning of the main content of the page you are surfing.
  • 2=takes you to the global navigation to help you get around the website. This key is the home key button as well at the beginning of the global navigation.
  • 3=takes you to the local navigation of the page you are viewing.
  • 4=takes you to the contact details.

For Mac computers press the control key with the access key defined.

Other function keys for the more popular browser such as Internet Explorer are:

  • Ctrl + F allows you to search on the active page
  • Alt + A takes you to the favourites menu
  • Alt + D highlights the address panel
  • Alt + F for the file drop-down menu
  • Alt + H for the main help menu
  • Alt + left arrow to jump to the previous page viewed
  • Alt + right arrow to jump forward to a page previously viewed
